Hit After Hit: RTFKT Follow Up Historic Fewocious Drop With Atari Collab
Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
RTFKT is a huge fucking deal!
The 🌐👟 sneaker NFT metaverse studio👟 🌐 is coming off an absolutely massive March, after having sold $3 million at a sneaker NFT auction and being invited onto CNBC.
Now, the RTFKT lads have officially written their names into the video game history books with a collection of eight mind-bending metaverse kicks made in collaboration with legendary retro game makers Atari.
Described by the studio as “When Retro meets the future,” the RTFKT x Atari drop consists of eight exclusive skins sold as in-game wearable NFTs for The Sandbox and Decentraland.
Drawing inspiration from classic Atari games as well as cult classic film Akira, the collection includes the unique 1 of 1 edition Atari Shiny LTD, which sold for $3,655, and seven other skins ranging from editions of three to editions of 20.
RTFKT has been on an explosive rise over the last month, appearing on the actual television show “Squawk Alley” on CNBC this week and 👀 spotted 👀getting some very high profile likes from Paris Hilton.
The studio also teased an upcoming collaboration with Among Us.
We particularly love the passion, thought and details that went into every pixel of this Atari collection that the collaborating artists brought to the table for RTFKT. You can see the depth of their love for gaming in the rich resolution of each shoe.
Because Rumfoords is the only source on the internet for luxury metaverse designers news, we’ve got our eyes on each designer RTFKT hired to design these kicks, including RetroCoin, Fernando Magalhães, viii, BLENDERDAC, Zome and NBO.
We’ll be the first to let you know about RTFKT’s metaverse jeans with Mrdr Brvdo, too.
